Summary
Golf Division is currently seeking a highly motivated candidate to become a Golf Equipment Operator and join a talented team of innovators to help strengthen the world-class stewardship of golf courses in our community. The Golf Division provides a positive and engaging environment, comprehensive training, and opportunity for professional growth and career progression within the green industry.
The Golf Equipment Operator is a skilled position where you'll work outdoors operating light and heavy equipment such as gang mowers and utility vehicles to assist in the maintenance City golf courses. You'll be able to hone your skills in green industry standards, landscaping techniques, turf care and irrigation practices which are practical and in demand career skills.

Essential Duties:
Operate light equipment required in the upkeep and operation for areas of responsibility.Operate heavy equipment such as gang mowers, landscaping equipment, utility vehicles etc.Inspect and maintain assigned equipment.Identify equipment needs for assigned projects.Assist with cleaning and removing trash from all areas of the golf course including shelters and restroom facilities.May assist with irrigation maintenance and repairs.May assist with snow removal.May assist with cemetery, forestry, horticulture, and park maintenance tasks.Report to work on time as scheduled.Work successfully in a team environment, as well as autonomously, in all weather conditions.Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties in a timely and efficient manner.Engage with team members in a considerate and helpful manner and project a positive attitude in the workplace.Maintain a positive, helpful, and solution-oriented attitude while assisting others.Interact with the public in a professional and courteous manner.All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Basic knowledge of landscaping maintenance and turf management.Ability to connect, pull and backup trailers.Ability to obtain a DOT certificate after in-house training and within first week of hire. Basic knowledge in care, operation and maintenance requirements for power tools and power-driven equipment.Skilled in operation and general maintenance of light and/or heavy equipment.Skilled in basic traffic and safety rules and regulations and accident prevention practices.
