The ARE [Account Review Execution] team is responsible for performing a review of agency and fiduciary accounts, ensuring that the coding and documents are current. Analyst performs detailed reviews of all new and existing agency and fiduciary relationships within Northern Trust Wealth Management. The focus of ARE [Account Review Execution] team is to manage risk and promote efficiency for client servicing partners through conducting centralized, thorough and thoughtful reviews of all fiduciary documentation and coding.
The incumbent will analyze and interpret trust documents and other critical documents for agency and fiduciary relationships to audit accounts for proper documentation, coding and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Additionally, under direct supervision, working on a single project or part of the work stream for a large project. Role may participate in process change by integrating new processes with existing ones and communicating these changes.
Major Duties
Acquires professional and client knowledge by developing the ability to review and interpret governing documents and account agreements.
2. Ensures appropriate account documentation is collected and imaged; ensures systems information is up-to-date; ensures accurate set up
3. Receives service requests from partners, obtains appropriate information from partners to facilitate review/coding changes.
4. Expected to use some initiative but refer more complex problems to TL or manager
5. Works effectively as a team member but also independently
6. Knowledgeable of the core aspects of the job and enjoys research and reading of documents
7. Engages with Trust Advisors, Estate Settlement Administrators, Guardianship Administrators, and/or Client Advisors related to exceptions, re-assignments and documentation inquiries.
8. Thinks critically to help identify efficiency enhancements, process improvements, and service delivery using creative and proactive measures.
9. Responsible for identifying and resolving problems within established guidelines.
Knowledge/ Skills
More technically sound in area of expertise related to fiduciary capacity including roles, responsibilities and definitions.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Solid Functional / Industry Knowledge is preferred
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Carries out complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
Experience Required
A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred
Salary Range:
$52,800 - 79,200 USD
Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
