Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the comprehensive management of building maintenance operations, including preventive maintenance, grounds upkeep, repairs, and renovations. This role involves overseeing vendor contracts and ensuring the efficient operation of all building systems. The supervisor will handle various physical and administrative duties, provide team oversight, and ensure prompt responses to emergencies.
Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
• Maintena nce Oversight: Supervise all aspects of building maintenance, including preventive upkeep, grounds maintenance, and repair/renovation projects. Manage vendor relations and oversee execution of work.
• Building Systems Management: Apply knowledge of HVAC, security, sprinkler systems, fire alarms, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems to ensure optimal operation and maintenance.
• Physical Duties: Perform necessary physical activities such as lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, and inspecting facilities. Address emergency janitorial needs, including spills and accidents.
• Vendor and Supply Management: Research, negotiate, and oversee facility upkeep and renovation services. Order office supplies, track inventory, and manage delivery logistics.
• Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance work and update schedules. Make daily trips to the post office and assist with various tasks that involve driving a company vehicle locally in Jacksonville and moving/assembling furniture.
• Emergency Response: Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, applying sound judgment to resolve issues.
• Team and Contractor Support: Provide guidance and support to maintenance staff and external contractors to address problems and complaints efficiently.
