About the Opportunity
Richmond's local Microsoft Power Platform team has an immediate opening for a Senior Power Platform developer, reporting to IT Solutions Delivery - Mgr.
In the role of Senior Power Platform developer you will design, develop, and implement high quality technology solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools and related technologies like SharePoint Online and PowerBI. You will work closely with business partners to understand business needs and requirements. You operate as part of a team, working closely with other Power Platform team members, ITS business relationship managers, and business line liaisons.
What You Will Do:
Design, develop, test, and deploy solutions built using Power Platform tools and technologies, including SharePoint Online and other complementary tools.
Develop flows and automation with Power Automate to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Ensure all applications are developed, configured, and documented according to relevant security policies and recommendations as well as industry, system, and district best practices, policies, and procedures.
Develop easy-to-use interfaces and forms in Power Apps to drive business processes.
Develop rich and compelling dashboards and reports in Power BI.
Participate in code and test plan reviews, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows for maximum efficiency and scalability.
Design and implement new features, modules or application components that support and integrate with MS Teams, SharePoint Online, Power BI and related technologies.
Enhance and maintain existing solutions.
Collaborate with team members to define, analyze, understand, and document business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions.
Create process, technical architecture, design, and user guide documentation.
Support design of Power Platform roadmaps.
Create estimations on effort required to develop Power Platform based solutions.
Effectively and efficiently remediate defects, implement enhancements, and work with customers to resolve issues.
Participate in developing and fostering SharePoint Online and Power Platform best practices across the district.
Mentor citizen developers and junior team members.
Provide support for 5th district usage of SharePoint Online.
Stay up to date with the latest Power Platform and SharePoint Online features and technologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant work experience and at least 2 years Power Platform specific experience.
Broad knowledge of the programming tools, concepts, practices, and principles of Power Platform tools including Power BI and SharePoint Online.
Ability to apply acute analytical and technical skills to provide innovative solutions in meeting business requirements.
Strong ability to exercise independent judgment in making moderately complex business decisions.
Ability to deliver with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Ability to translate highly technical information into non-technical terms.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office along with various other technical applications.

The salary range for an intermediate level is $81,500 - $112,090 annually
The salary range for senior level is $103,300 - $142,010 annually
Salary offered will be based on the job responsibilities and the individual's knowledge, skills, and experience as defined in the job qualifications.
