St. Stephen's Lutheran Academy is a licensed private academic school for students in grades K through 12 who require specialized educational programs due to diverse challenges. The Day to Day Substitute Teacher position would work in the same classroom for no more than 20 consecutive days. The assignment would change up to every 20 days. This position does not have IEP responsibilities. This position does not fall within the Teacher Tier system and would not be eligible for the Portfolio bonus (this is separate from the New HIre Incentive Bonus).

What You'll Do:
Facilitate classrooms routine, lesson plans, and student accommodations in Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
Provide individualized adaptations for student instruction.
Participate in all school/team meetings
Qualifications:
ACADEMIC:
Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Education preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Education with an active Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in any subject area.
PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have audio/visual/verbal skills for instruction and supervision of students to perform other essential job functions.
Must have physical dexterity in order to assist in student physical interventions if necessary.
Must complete and pass agency Crisis/Physical Intervention training.
Must have emotional stability to perform essential job functions.
Must have the ability to continually exercise discretion and judgment in performing job responsibilities.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to adjust hours to job requirements.
Must have access to a telephone.
Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for the Zelienople campus; this is not a requirement for the Utica campus
Must have acceptable PA State Police Clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, FBI clearance and Arrest/Conviction Report and Certification Form.
Must be able to identify with the agency Mission Statement and support the agency's Core Values.
