Plant Human Resources Admin/Intern (Finance)
JOB TITLE: Administrative Intern, Human Resources (Plant)
REPORTS TO: HR Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SUMMARY:
As an HR Intern, you will provide assistance to our HR department in day-to-day operations. You will assist the Corporate HR team in various tasks including recruitment, scheduling interviews, orientation, payroll, and maintaining employee personnel files.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Create and maintain employee personnel files, enter new employees into HR database while keeping information confidential and secure.
• Assist the HR Specialist and Corporate HR Manager with employee engagement activities.
• Update policies and procedures in Document Control and help with the organization of Sharepoint site.
• Audit, update, and organize HR data to assist the Corporate HR team with Ceridian Dayforce (HRIS).
• Maintain content within our Learning Management System by creating and uploading courses, granting user access, updating course content, auditing users, and running reports.
• Assist with new hire orientation including government documentation, onboarding, creating welcome aboard announcements, request computer access, employee badge, new hire swag and schedule department lunch.
• Assist with other HR related projects as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Some college courses completed in a Human Resources related field.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information
Strong data entry skills
Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint Skills
Detail Oriented
Strong communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Must be able to work 20+ hours per week
