Marine Mechanic (Engineering)
Technicians (mechanic) perform various installations and repairs to equipment and machinery as related to yacht repair and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engine Mounting SystemsEngine to Drive Line Alignments, Engine to Gear Box AlignmentsExhaust System Components MaintenanceHydraulic Steering - Installation, Service & MaintenanceTroubleshoot, test, repair, replace, remove and install vessel systems and componentsConduct thorough assessment prior to starting a job including; acknowledging the budgeted time and timeframe for completion, proving the system and the element requiring service, sourcing parts if requiredAssign parts and purchases to the appropriate vessels/ticketsAvailability to work overtime in order to meet deadlinesOther duties as assigned by Manager
TECHNICAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent preferredTechnical school training preferred5 years experience preferredABYC and/or manufacturer certifications preferredAbility to ascend and descend a ladderMust carry own toolsAbility to work in confined spacesAbility to lift 50 poundsBasic boat handling skills preferredExperience with both gas and diesel engines preferred
