ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $116,750.00 - 175,304.00 (Salaries are paid biweekly)
ANNUAL ANTICIPATED HIRING RANGE: $145,000.00 - $165,000.00 (Salaries are paid biweekly)
Assistant City Attorney II:
ANNUAL SALARY RANGE: $104,075.00 - $156,249.00 (Salaries are paid biweekly)

The City Attorney's Office is seeking to hire a Senior Assistant City Attorney or Assistant City Attorney II, principally to represent and advise management and staff in the City's Planning, Development and Transportation (PDT) Service Area, as well as the City's Utilities and other City departments. Generally, this position will serve as general counsel to City Council, City officers, employees, and appointed board and commission members while providing written and oral advice and representation on behalf of the City in negotiations and other matters. The position may also advise appointed boards and commissions and City Council regarding both legislative and quasi-judicial matters. Planning, Development and Transportation matters may include land use, development, zoning, neighborhood livability, engineering and transportation, code drafting, and development agreement negotiation and review. Able to perform duties effectively with minimal supervision and assistance.Able to coordinate and facilitate projects. Comfortable with public speaking. Leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to solve problems. Sufficiently experienced in advising City staff to effectively fill in for attorneys in other subject matter areas if needed.Able to recognize and develop awareness of political and organizational dynamics within the City
