Role description:
Arcadis has an immediate need for a Staff/Project Electrical Engineer in the Albany, NY area with a desire to grow their knowledge and understanding of electrical design in the water and wastewater industry. A successful candidate will demonstrate effective communication skills and technical expertise.

Role accountabilities:
The primary focus of the Staff/Project Electrical Engineer will be to provide technical and design consulting services with an emphasis on electrical power distribution, electrical controls, lighting, and communications, to support projects for Arcadis' Water Division.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water/wastewater facilities and other similar industrial facilities. You will serve as Arcadis' main point of contact for clients with electrical design needs. Development of project management skills by supporting the management of budgets and delivery schedules for project scopes, schedules, and budgets will be a key part of your role.
You will also perform electrical design and coordination of various projects. Demonstration of proficiency in CAD software (Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, etc.), electrical system modeling software (SKM, ETAP, EasyPower), and lighting software (ElumTools, Visual, Dialux) will be needed.
You will establish design criteria, perform design calculations, and develop one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications. In addition, you will provide engineering services during construction, including reviewing equipment submittals, shop drawings, and responding to contractor RFIs (Requests for Information).
You will conduct field inspections and assist with construction projects including identifying deviations from design and monitoring safety compliance. Travel may be required to support project needs.

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $115,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
