Application Performance Architect- Evernorth Health Services (Finance)
Position Summary
The Performance Architect will focus on engineering innovative, strategic, and long-term performance solutions that align with CareTech TSG Information Technology's architecture. Incumbents will have the necessary technical and leadership experience, knowledge, and skills to establish themselves as domain experts within the organization. Additionally, they will provide direction, guidance and mentorship to staff engaged in the development and application of technology, architectures, frameworks, methodologies, patterns, and best practices.
The Performance Architect is responsible for designing and implementing "Performance Engineered" solutions that enable product and service delivery in support of Cigna/Evernorth mission, strategy, goals, and objectives. To accomplish this, this position will both lead and work collaboratively with business and technology stakeholders to establish and maintain technical assets within the Care Tech TSG portfolio.
The Performance Architect will maintain awareness and knowledge of the emerging trends in technology, and its usage within the industry, and will apply this learning in the establishment of new and innovative technology solutions. Succeeding as a Performance Architect will require deep technical knowledge, experience and skills - necessary when building solutions to support a single technology or line of business - and a breadth of knowledge in multiple technology areas - necessary when building and integrating solutions across multiple technologies and lines of business in an enterprise environment. Additional key skills are strong leadership and skilled communications.
Responsibilities
• Design and implement "Performance Engineered" solutions in support of business and IT initiatives.
• Establish and maintain alignment of technical assets across domains (e.g., application, data, security, performance testing, performance management etc.) within the Care Delivery portfolio.
• BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field / equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in Performance Testing, Engineering & Observability, Automation, Devops, Capacity planning of large enterprise applications across various geographical locations
• Demonstrated professional competence in the principles and practices of performance testing as they relate to:
• Mobile & Cloud platforms preferably AWS
• Test Automation and continuous delivery.
• Proven and hands on experience with the following:
• Responsible - assume ownership of Performance Testing & Engineering services, all aspects including delivering value via outcomes and continuous improvement.
• Methodical - every test is planned with a purpose and approach which validate quality and risk.
• Disciplined - tests are managed according to plan; variables are isolated and controlled.
• Innovative - employ creativity to devise effective and efficient testing strategies.
• Demonstrated critical thinking - including abilities in analysis and problem solving.
• Experienced in "Systems Thinking" - the ability to break problems into manageable pieces, and to see how the pieces interact with one another and can be assembled into an integrated, functioning, "whole" system.
• Passion for technology, with an ability to understand and assess new technologies, and their potential applicability to business needs in an efficient, effective manner.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 135,600 - 226,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
