Heavy Highway Construction Estimator

Carroll Construction Supply is seeking an experienced Heavy Highway Estimator to bid DOT projects in Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota.  This individual will be responsible for preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates after analyzing drawings and specifications to provide competitive bids for paving projects.   This candidate must have experience in estimating DOT projects and must be proficient in all aspects of Sudas for paving, heavy highway, bridges, and civil construction.  Carroll is known as a fair, honest & team-oriented company that is employee-owned.

Additional Requirements to be Considered

· 3 years related experience

· Prior experience in estimating/engineering role on public and private construction projects is preferred.

· Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills.

· Ability to estimate multiple projects with proven time management skills.

· Strong work ethic to complete tasks accurately and on time.

· Solid attention to detail with the ability to solve problems.

· Experience in reading and analyzing Department of Transportation drawings.
