About the Position: We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow to join our dynamic team. The Lab focuses on dissecting the roles of tRNA and rRNA modifying enzymes that are deregulated in cancer. Our research aims to elucidate how these enzymes and the modifications they catalyze influence mRNA translation programs and contribute to cancer progression. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that have the potential to uncover novel therapeutic targets.
A biomedical postdoc position provides an opportunity for early-career researchers to gain valuable experience, develop independent research skills, and contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in their field of expertise.
Position Key Accountabilities:
• Conduct independent research on RNA modifications and their impact on cancer.
• Utilize advanced molecular biology techniques to study tRNA and rRNA
modifying enzymes.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists to advance our
understanding of translational reprogramming in cancer.
• Present research findings at national and international conferences.
Minimum Education:
Doctoral/Terminal Degree
Physical Requirements:
Exerts up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount constantly to move objects.
Preferred :
• PhD in cell biology, molecular biology or biochemistry.
• Strong background in RNA biology and cancer research.
• Excellent communication and writing skills with a proven track record of research
productivity.
• Experience with rodent animal models and tissue culture techniques highly
desirable, but not required.
