Shermco Industries is seeking a Sourcing Analyst

JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to design and analyze reports based on the collection of data related to the sourcing, contracting, management and performance of suppliers and vendors. This role will be a hybrid, so mist be located in the Irving, TX area.

Essential Duties:

• Manages supplier relationships, negotiates at a senior level and serves as the lead in mediation/problem resolution.
• Analyzes commodity and service requirements, creates RFPs and reviews and analyze bids.
• Analyzes the expenditure base to identify cost reduction opportunities, builds, documents and continuously updates/maintains market and product knowledge.
• Mentors and educates the Shermco organization on contemporary sourcing practices and the value of applying them with third party providers to support Shermco business interests.
• Maintain data integrity of databases and make changes as required to enhance accuracy, usefulness and access.
• Collects and rationalizes data from multiple sources. Ensures data integrity and accuracy.
• Coordinates with sourcing team and peers to aggregate data and align reporting.
• May provide training to new and existing users of database and reports.
• Other duties may be assigned

• Decisions made with understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field from four-year College and/or University. Minimum of three years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience working with standard accounting systems reports and data feeds.
• Functional knowledge of procurement practices and requirements.
