Financial Analyst (Finance)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To provide timely and accurate management reports on a weekly and monthly basis which will analyze divisional business results and provide data necessary to determine pricing, profitability and forecasting.
• Ability to work within a team environment and liaise with other departments.
• Perform monthly support tasks needed for financial statements.
• Assists in physical inventory counts including cycle counts.
• Review and seek approval for journal entries and adjustments to the general ledger.
• Analyze and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of department operations.
• Ensure reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information for management decisions.
• Assist with preparation of budget information and end of the year financial reports to fulfill Division, Group and Corporate reporting requirements.
• Work with internal and external auditors as required.
• Ability and willingness to function within and support ISO quality system procedures and standardization, including but not limited to activities involving development, implementation, and maintenance of.
• Ad-hoc reporting and other projects
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work will in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
• Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Good communication skills.
• Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment. . To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Keep up to date on new developments in regards to Accounting systems and processes.
• Division ERP software in addition to Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc…)
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Requires a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with courses in accounting and/or finance.
• 5+ Years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
• Abilities to operate current ERP fluently to support position essential duties and responsibilities and ability to cover or be cross-trained on department staff functions. Previous ERP accounting experience strongly desired
