The Engineering Administrator will administer the engineering change order (ECO) process amount multiple departments. As well as work directly with Engineeirng and Supply Chain. This role is also responsible for maintaining SAP master data.
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree or Associates degree combined with related work experience.
Minimum three years of engineering administrative experience.
In-depth knowledge of , and experience with, production control systems (bill of materials, MRP etc...)
Experience with CAD (2D & 3D) along with ISO 9001:2000 standards
Strong analytical and organizational skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
PC proficient with the ability work with Microsoft Office Software. Experience in a Windows environment.
Proficient in general business procedures and capable of prioritizing work flow.
Professional self-presentation, and verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to interface at all levels.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Coordinates and oversees Engineering and Quality Assurance processes and assures the completion of the processes; these processes include but are not limited to the following: Engineering Change Order Process; Engineering Assistance Request Process; ISO/QMS Database Document Control Process; Document and Data Control Process
Administer the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process among multiple departments. Maintain SAP master data including approval status, effective dates, and documentation release. Work directly with Engineers and Supply Chain Analysts for implementation effectivity, document updates, master data changes, etc. Maintain regular status communication to various groups.
Initiates Document Acceptance Form (DAF) on the Supplier Portal as drawing/specifications are released. Maintain status in accordance with process requirements.
Create/maintain/administer engineering and ISO/QMS document control processes in order to ensure confidentiality and to meet ISO requirements. Create and implement new processes in order to improve the existing document control system
Create/revise mechanical drawings, assembly manuals, and product outline drawings for customer review. Check drawings to ensure accuracy.
Support the seamless introduction of new products from the design phase to volume production. Complete tasks as assigned. Prepare and control all product related master data. Resolve issues related to new products as assigned. Provide any necessary support to engineers for tasks related to production control and new product introduction.
Support daily quality issues and component failures. Inspect and segregate component or finished goods inventory as directed by Product/Manufacturing/Quality Engineers.
Procure and control agency standards (e.g. ANSI, ASTM, NEMA, UL, JIS, ISO,...). Participate in ISO and customer audits.
Coordinate customer and supplier facility tours among multiple departments (i.e., Production, Distribution).
Identify and implement opportunities for continual improvement. This includes cost reduction and process improvements. Provide cost analysis as necessary.
