Job Superintendent (Project Management)
JOB DESCRIPTION
This person will be responsible for the safe and efficient operations of a construction project. The person will plan, direct and coordinate all crews and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and productivity metrics are achieved. This role is classified as safety sensitive.ACTIVITIES/TASKS/SCOPE
· Lead by example that safety is the number one priority
· Supervise, coordinate and schedule the activities of the project and crews
· Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements and procedure planning
· Inspect work progress, equipment or construction sites to verify safety, quality and specifications are met
· Locate, measure and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment
· Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities
· Confer with project manager or technical personnel, other departments or contractors to resolve problems or to coordinate activities
· Assist workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment
· Train and develop crew members as deemed necessary
· Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner
· Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or GED required
· Must have a clean driving record
· 5-6 years of quality experience in heavy civil construction
· 2-3 years of experience in managing and leading a team
