Video Lab Assistant (Finance)

Position Summary:

The Zimmerman School is seeking a highly motivated and dependable individual to support classroom technology and assist faculty in studio and lab environments. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in academic and media production environments while supporting faculty and enhancing the educational experience for students.

This position requires high school and two years of work experience in instructional or laboratory work. College coursework may be substituted for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must have some experience in the use of professional video cameras, tripods, batteries, wireless microphones, drones and video editing software. Some job training is provided. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Provide support for classroom technology (including class preparation and set-up)
• Assist Senior Teaching Lab Assistant in checking in and out video/audio/lighting equipment
• Assist faculty members with studio and lab instruction, including VU Studio production and development training.
• Clean labs, TV control rooms, studios and work areas
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Hours are flexible, may include evenings (usually no weekends). 20 hours per week maximum.
