Asset Protection Auditor - Remote (Finance)

PURPOSE:

The Asset Protection Auditor will assist the District Asset Protection Manager in conducting store audits as assigned. This position will utilize the audit process to educate store associates on proper procedures and to identify possible internal theft taking place within the store.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Job Responsibilities

• Be an expert in all areas of shortage control at store level. Maintain consistent standards across stores assigned to audit. Ensure that repeat problem areas are surfaced to leadership.
• Provide Asset Protection training to store associates as needed when deficient areas are found. Communicate audit results and training conducted to MOD and to DAPM as needed.
• When possible internal theft is identified, communicate to DAPM immediately and maintain the confidentiality of the investigation until resolved.
• Train associates to address possible shoplifting with great customer service and to enter incident reports into case reporting system as identified

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• LP Foundation LPQ or LPC certification preferred
• Experience:
• 2 years Asset Protection or auditing experience preferred
• Familiarity with CCTV system operation
• Experience with case report writing preferred

• Well organized
• Creative and self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Skilled with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to gain cooperation through influence
• Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/DEMANDS:

• Travel by car 60% - 90% required, occasional over-night trips.
• Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
• Incumbent may sit for long periods of time at a desk or computer terminal.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephones, and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
• Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in the completion of job duties.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
