Lead Mental Health Technician (Personal Services)
Southwestern Behavioral Healthcare is currently seeking a Full-Time Lead Mental Health Technician in our Supervised Residential Facilities to add to our team of professionals.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?
1. Provide on-shift orientation to new SGL Mental Health Technicians.
2. Collaborate with the CSS Residential leadership team on new hire orientation.
3. Assist with quarterly staff safety trainings.
4. Cultivate development of staff strengths and skill sets on a regular basis, through modeling and instruction of best practices.
5. Facilitate weekly house meetings.
6. Plan and supervise completion of household activities and responsibilities by assigning duties to staff, as appropriate.
8. Collaborate with the treatment team to maintain the continuum of care.
9. Provide coaching, support, and guidance to SGL Mental Health Technicians.
10. Maintain relevant documentation standards.
11. Attend weekly scheduling meetings with SGL Residential Program Clinical Manager and Treatment team.
12. Supervise completion of household activities and responsibilities by assigning duties to staff, as appropriate.
13. Advocate on behalf of individuals with serious and persistent mental illness.
14. Collaborate with CSS medical staff to ensure medical needs of the residents are met on an ongoing basis.
15. Demonstrate the ability to assess and respond to psychiatric crisis situations.
16. Commit to the values of the Southwestern Leadership team.
17. Monitor and review end of shift checklist for each house.
18. Monitor inventory of facility/supply needs.
19. Monitor PEX card verification logs.
20. Monitor residents household task lists.
21. Assure staff adherence to Southwestern and CSS Residential Program policies and procedures including chart maintenance, health and safety requirements, food preparation procedures, and handling patient funds and medications.
22. Monitor inventory of grocery supply needs
23. Commit to annual professional and skills development opportunities.
24. Collaborate with CSS medical staff to ensure medical needs of the residents are met on an ongoing basis.
25. Monitor routine temperature check logs.
WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
1. Must be an Other Behavioral Healthcare Provider (OBHP).
2. A minimum of one year of experience working with long-term psychiatric patients or an associate's degree in a related field is required.
3. Must hold or obtain valid driver's license.
4. Must complete and maintain crisis management and verbal de-escalation training.
