Remit Team Account Representative (Administrative)
Posting/Reconciling of Insurance Remits and/or Patient Payments
Posting all A/R by deadline dates
3 deadlines per month
All denials and payments are to be posted before the remit is considered complete.
Applying payments and denials to the correct patient accounts
Recognize and report trends and patterns regarding changes in claim payment and/or denials
Prepare Secondary billing with corresponding COB information
Review, and track electronic deposited funds to ensure all money received is applied to accounts (deposit logs)
Projects as assigned
All other duties as assigned by Management.
Job Expectations:
Immediate recognition of trends and patterns with payers
Task basket management
Inquiries are followed up within 24 hours of creation
Open communication with Supervisor and others in the business office
Professional communication with insurance companies
Arrive and leave on time according to assigned schedule
Ability to come into the office at least once per month
Adhere to business office/NAL policies
Attend and participate in biweekly staff meetings and any other meetings and/or training sessions as indicated.
Note and apply updated and changed insurance or workflow information
Communication of any questions and concerns that arise from the meetings
Qualifications:
Insurance billing and follow up experience; Mental Health experience preferred.
Familiarity with insurance company guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
Detail oriented, flexible problem solver; maintains a positive attitude.
Computer Experience required; Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook
Customer service experience.
Flexible
Good Communication Skills
High school graduate or above.
