Key Responsibilities: Transportation Planning: Develop and execute transportation schedules to meet production and delivery deadlines. Optimize routes and modes of transport to ensure timely and cost-efficient delivery. Coordinate with bottling facilities, carriers, and distribution centers. Carrier Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with transportation service providers. Monitor carrier performance and resolve any service issues or delays. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Inventory and Load Coordination: Plan and oversee the loading of trucks to maximize space and minimize costs. Monitor inventory levels at bottling plants and distribution centers to prevent stockouts or overages. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze transportation costs, trends, and performance metrics. Generate reports on delivery times, freight costs, and efficiency improvements. Identify opportunities for cost savings and process enhancements. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production, warehouse, and customer service teams to align transportation plans with business needs. Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and potential delays. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all transportation activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Implement and maintain safety standards for the handling and transport of goods. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred but not required, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 2-5 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the beverage or FMCG industry. Skills: Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and route optimization software. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, Power BI). Strong communication and negotiation abilities. Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail. Key Competencies: Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance requirements. Knowledge of freight and shipping practices, including LTL, FTL, and intermodal transportation. Physical Demands: May require occasional travel to bottling plants, distribution centers, and carrier facilities. Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
