Licensed, Behavioral Health Clinician (Play Therapy) Supv. - PRN - Centerville Outpatient (Healthcare)
Centervilles Play Therapy & Resilience Training Center offers culturally, linguistically, and developmentally appropriate education & practice of resilience skills through play and family therapy focusing on infants through age 17 and their family. Case Manager/Community Support works closely with children and their family to identify needs related to social determinants of health to maximize continuity of care through direct support and skills training, referral and service linkages, continued care monitoring, and collaboration with the programs interdisciplinary team and other external partners. Duties are performed in a fast-paced environment that requires abilities to demonstrate organization skills, professionalism, solution seeking skills, and motivation to serve the community.
Under the direction of the Director of Play Therapy, this position is responsible for programmatic support of play therapy to include clinical supervision, education and training, and programmatic development, implementation, and monitoring.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Collaborates with program leaders of C&A services and programs to ensure delivery of evidence-based and informed practice of play therapy and child-centered modalities to include but not limited to clinical supervision and consultation related support, education and training, program guidance for play therapy space design/equipment/materials, etc.Provides onboarding education/training/support and direct supervision of assigned interns and license-eligible or licensed clinicians following VPH play therapy/expressive arts training and/or counseling professional working toward licensureProvides support through problem solving to address clinical supervision and training needs based on consultation with Director of Play Therapy, program leaders, chart/document/video-audio recording reviews and/or observation of play therapy delivery of carePromote a supportive team environment that represents the agencys mission, vision and values and creates a collaborative team approach to problem solving and planning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of related post-license experience OR Master's degree in a related area from an accredited college or university AND licensure in the area of assignment AND Two years of experience at the lower-level Social Worker, Licensed 2 (HCP051) or position equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
Full Licensure as LPC or LCSW with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience delivering care in C&A programsActive Registered Play Therapist- Supervisor credential (RPT-S)At least 6 months experience delivering play therapy supervision, education and trainingBilingual
Requirements/Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and manage time.Must be able to lift 20 pounds.Requires long periods of sitting/standing.Must have valid Georgia drivers license and Motor Vehicle Record in accordance with company policy.Candidates for selection must pass a criminal background check (including fingerprinting)Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and subject to random drug screens.Demonstrates sensitivity and expertise in diverse cultural and linguistic needs.Demonstrates commitment to the agencys mission, vision, and values.Other duties as assigned.
