JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Fuel Yard plant equipment. Performs lower skilled duties involving mechanical and electrical maintenance. Responsible for operating and maintaining conveyors, dewatering belts, and various other plant systems.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. Directly or through others, the incumbent: Duties include but are not limited to,
** Position represented by IBEW 2337 and pay is $30.27 per hour.
** Position requires working 12hr rotating shift.
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements
• High school diploma, or GED equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated power plant skills and experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of basic math, reading and writing skills required.
• Ability to use all hand tools and other various tools.
• Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts and loaders is preferred.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills.
• All applicants (excluding applicants currently employed in specific positions in Fossil Generation) must be a successful candidate on the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) program in order to be considered a candidate for this position. POSS / MASS exams are administered on an as-needed basis by Human Resources.
