Senior Power Systems Engineer (Finance)
Job Description: Work with project management to ensure that the work executed in their area satisfies specifications, and that customer needs and is completed within the project timeline and budget. Calculate fault currents using industry leading software platforms, designing new or modifying existing control circuits to transfer power between multiple sources, or creating one-lines, elevation drawings, schematics, and other deliverables to create a customer's design package. Develop relationships with key customers and work to become a trusted advisor to facilitate an effective partnership and drive incremental business. Collaborate with various business development groups to create customer solutions and win business for the Services
Organization. Develop and maintain technical and commercial proficiency of PSE offers. Develop proposal (quotation) and maintain relationships with key customers. Position is eligible for remote work up to 3 days per week. Position requires 30% domestic travel to project-based customer sites for data collection, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Requirements: Position requires a Master's or Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and progressive, post-bachelor's experience (3 years with Master's or 5 years with Bachelor's) in protection, control, and automation engineering, or closely related electrical engineering occupation, which must include at least some education or experience in the following skills: Independently developing panel schematics and troubleshooting and commissioning complex PCA systems (Relay logic, PLC); Producing complex programming of relay and PLC based systems; Preparing electrical design and network architectures accounting for protection and electrical layout; Using AutoCAD or Blue Beam software to develop schematic and wiring connection diagrams and one line drawings, and to develop physical layouts of electrical infrastructure; Designing electrical equipment accounting for plant and facility processes; Utilizing knowledge of regulatory requirements to meet NEC, ANSI, NFPA standards; and Leading engineering projects.
