Service Center Mechanic (Finance)
• Entry level manufacturing personnel responsible for teardown and cleanup of inbound mechanical equipment.
• Responsible for parts inventory, putting away new parts orders, pulling parts for rebuilds.
• Works closely with the Service Center Manager and Quote/Order Entry Personnel. May be required to process orders through completion/shipment and establishing internal parts orders.
• Responsible for accurate shipment and receiving of rebuild equipment. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and bills of material (BOM) to review and analyze original contracts.
• Assists in equipment rebuild and upgrades, requiring the use of various hand tools, electrical equipment, cranes, forklifts, etc. Applies test procedures to determine the integrity of the repaired equipment, requiring detailed knowledge of B&W products and applications.
• May assist in fabrication and assembly work.
• Utilizes torch cutting and welding on specific operational needs.
• Keeps records on all parts used for equipment rebuilds, files these records with the service center manager to log onto the B&W sales order.
• Submits regular time sheets for use in determining profit and loss on each repair order.
• May require use of Oracle based ERP systems, office equipment via PC computer, etc.
• Works with senior level techs or Service Center Manager for training to ensure accuracy in all of these tasks.
Note: On a daily basis this role requires the individual to be standing, moving, lifting, utilizing forklifts, and various hand tools.Must have a minimum of (4) years experience in a manufacturing facility along with strong knowledge of mechanical equipment. Must be able to utilize hand tools on a daily basis for performing equipment teardown & assembly.
