WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Director, Financial Planning & Analysis
The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will hold a high impact job in a dynamic and high-growth environment, supporting the CFO, VP of Finance, and General Manager of the Business Segments as a strategic thought partner responsible for providing actionable analytics, insights and recommendations to drive improved business outcomes and delivery of financial results. The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will own delivery of the annual financial planning process, forecasting expected outcomes, long-term financial planning and preparation of key senior leadership and parent company materials.
This is a full-time, remote role with a preference for Pacific Time work hours.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Serve as trusted advisor and critical thought partner for the CFO, VP Finance and General Managers of the Business Segments to drive strategic decision making and long-term planning
Provide actionable insights to support and advise CFO, VP Finance and GMs on decision making to deliver financial results
Lead the annual budget process for the total company and each business segment
Develop and maintain long-term financial model for the total company and each business segment
Develop and maintain the company and business segment forecasting process, periodic and quarterly updates to Senior Leadership and parent company
Ensure accurate delivery of all financial results and financial planning submissions to parent company
Lead team of Business Partners, Financial Analysts and Sr. Manager of FP&A to drive timely insights and execution of financial planning processes
Prepare materials for periodic Executive financial reviews
Provide a bridge between Business Segment and Department teams linking business strategies, objectives and outcomes to operational and financial performance
Develop insight in market trend and opportunities, customer needs and challenges, and competitive intelligence
Uncover insights that identify areas for performance improvement, model potential outcomes, help to prioritize growth and efficiency initiatives
Ensure appropriate performance metrics and dashboards are in place and are supported with analysis and business insights
Prepare internal management reports to assess performance
Supervisory Responsibilities
Focus on determining purpose, function, role of their team to further the organization's goals
Facilitate the flow of information/communication between subordinates and upper management
Set goals for performance and deadlines that comply with the organization's plans and vision
Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and legal requirements
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, related field, or equivalent job-related experience
At least 12 years of experience in a senior level Finance Manager or Financial Business Partner role
At least 5 years of experience leading a team of professionals and managers with direct supervisory responsibilities
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with a high level of accuracy
Ability to effectively delegate work to direct reports to meet multiple, and often competing, deadlines
Ability to motivate and lead a team of Financial Analysts and Business Partners to support the business with the highest level of data, insights and customer service
Ability to navigate and lead a team through complex issues, interpret and transform financial data into actionable recommendations
Ability to be a strategic advisor to the organization, connecting the dots for senior leaders on long-term goals and the annual planning cycles
Ability to consolidate large amounts of data into clear and concise insights to present to senior leadership in the company
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy and strong organizational skills
Ability to understand, perform and lead a team through complex business processes and strategies
Ability to make decisions which impact to the organization based on sound judgment
Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate with various groups within the company as well as with various external partners
Integrity - maintaining confidentiality is integral to the position to protect operations
Able to learn, understand, use, and master complex data models, systems, and tools (e.g., Oracle, Looker, etc)
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Masters degree in business, economics, finance, mathematics, or statistics
Familiarity of veterinary pharmaceuticals
Experience in warehouse fulfillment environment
Experience in animal health industry
Familiarity of eCommerce business (online retail)

Pay range (US based applicants): $151,019 - $190,000 (annualized)
Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, certifications, relevant education and training, while also considering internal equity.
