Camp Counselor (Personal Services)

The Jeff Rouse Swim and Sports Center is currently accepting applications for part-time Camp Counselors for our Summer & Seasonal Camp programs. We are looking for people who are hardworking, professional, highly motivated, and have great energy when it comes to supervising a group of campers.
Camp Counselors provide direct supervision of a group of children during day camp. Our staff provide quality experiences and environment for the children and parents. A qualified individual is energetic, creative, professional, patient, and exhibits a desire for working with kids.
This is a part-time, non-exempt position is projected for 5 to 32 hours per week. The Camp Counselor is supervised by the Youth and Sports Director.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Create a fun and safe environment for all kidsPlan, lead, and take part in various indoor and outdoor activitiesPlan and implement developmentally appropriate weekly and daily activitiesFollow program requirements and standards for safety and cleanlinessCreate and maintain relationships with children and parentsCommunicate effectively with other staff, supervisors, and parentsManage conflict and issues with campers across a multitude of developmental stagesOther duties as assigned by supervisory personnel
