For this summer's intern role, we are seeking students who want to focus in the Machine Learning and AI space. As an Intern, you will be on the forefront of innovation within the healthcare industry. You will have the opportunity to work with our technologist and help push the boundaries of AI by helping in the development of products and tools used externally and internally, you will be exposed on everything from prompt engineering and fine-tuning to full-stack development. The Cigna Group is looking for technology-focused individuals to join our Technology Development Program (TECDP) S ummer I nternship . W e provide our interns with challenging technology assignments, formalized training, and guided mentorship. The committed partnership between interns, program manag ers , and technology leaders is a testament to the program's value and the critical role it plays in developing The Cigna Group's future innovators in technology.

The 12-week internship is designed to further develop an individual's technical skills aligned with their interests and enterprise need. Our program office will work with interns to determine the best role for them before starting. In addition to their role work, interns will have the opportunity to participate in an Innovations Project which seeks to solve challenges related to real business needs.

Qualifications:

• Intern candidates must be currently enrolled and progressing toward a bachelor's degree in a technical program - P referred degrees include, but are not limited to, Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, and Software Engineering.

• Degrees related to business technology disciplines such as Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, and Business Information Systems may be considered based on the depth of technology experience.

• A working knowledge of programming basics, AI and Machine Learning .

• 3.3 or greater overall GPA preferred.

Additional Information:

Location: All program roles have the expectation for greater than 50% of their workweek to be in the office.

Internship opportunities is for our Scottsdale, AZ office.

Schedule: You must be available to work a Monday - Friday 40-hour work week beginnin g May 19 th , 2025.

Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.

Market Range: For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $ 22.00 - $ 38.00 , depending on relevant factors, including education and experience.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
