PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
Technical Trainer will be responsible for delivering training programs to new and existing manufacturing machine operators, ensuring they are proficient in operating machinery, following safety protocols, and adhering to quality standards, by providing on-the-job training, classroom training and hands-on demonstrations, while also assessing performance and identifying areas for improvement within the production process.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
• Assist and implement comprehensive training programs for machine operators, focusing on equipment operation, maintenance, safety protocols, and best practices.
• Facilitate hands-on training sessions for machine operators, ensuring participants understand and can apply the skills and knowledge gained.
• Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and observation, making adjustments as necessary to improve learning outcomes.
• Assist in development of training and update training manuals, guides, and other materials to ensure they are current and relevant to the latest industry standards and technologies.
• Offer continuous support and mentorship to machine operators, addressing any questions or concerns, and providing additional training as needed.
• Work closely with production, maintenance, training and safety teams to ensure training programs align with operational goals and compliance requirements.

Required Skills/Abilities
• Technical expertise: Thorough understanding of manufacturing processes, machinery operation, and quality control methods
• Instructional skills: Ability to effectively deliver training sessions, utilizing various teaching methods to engage trainees
• Problem-solving skills: Identifying and resolving issues encountered during training and on the production floor
• Communication skills: Clear and concise communication to explain technical concepts to
operators with varying skill levels
• Leadership abilities: Guiding and motivating trainees to achieve performance goals
• Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in training materials and operator performance
• Bilingual: Spanish

8+ hours depending on workload
Up to 50 lbs. PPE is required, which includes safety shoes, eye protection and hearing protection.
