The position will be located on the OU Norman campus with working hours of 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday. There is potential for after-hours/weekend work in the event of an emergency.
IT Systems Support Administrators play an essential role in providing system and solution administration, as well as device support for faculty and staff within the designated colleges and departments. This role reports to the Dodge Family College of Arts and Sciences Strategist (DFCAS) on the IT Mission Support Academics team, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of IT systems for DFCAS. The IT Systems Support Administrator will focus on delivering high-quality customer service and technical support, both on-site and remotely, for university computers, mobile devices, peripherals, and applications.
This position requires a highly motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment. As an embedded resource within the DFCAS, the IT Systems Support Administrator will manage technical projects, administer servers and services, and ensure network and IT security. They may also be responsible for managing aspects of the technology budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources, and aligning with departmental goals. This role is integral in supporting research computing needs, developing long-term support documentation, and fostering strong relationships with faculty, staff, and researchers.
The successful candidate will provide timely and professional guidance through various IT support channels and will be the primary point of contact for multiple services, including facilitating the device repair process for specified areas, remote support tool administration, and IT systems management. They will work collaboratively with peers, other teams, and vendors to resolve complex IT issues and continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided.

Required Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent, AND:
Equivalency/Substitution: Experience or a combination of education and related experience can be considered in lieu of degree. A one-to-one ratio is used to determine the number of years of experience required in place of a degree.
