The Staff Physical Therapist evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families, physicians and other health team members and maintains documentation of services in the medical records. Conducts in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis.

Staff Physical Therapist - Long-Term Care & Rehabilitation

Your Role:
- Assess & Treat Patients - Conduct evaluations within 24 hours of physician referral and create personalized treatment plans.
- Lead Rehabilitation Efforts - Supervise PT Assistants, provide training for Restorative Aides, and coordinate with nursing staff.
- Collaborate & Communicate - Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure patient progress and successful discharge planning.
- Maintain Compliance - Document evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in accordance with state regulations and facility policies.
- Recommend Equipment - Facilitate necessary mobility aids like walkers, braces, and grab bars for patient independence.
What You Bring:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in good standing with the KS state board.
- Education - Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
- Strong Communication Skills - Ability to educate patients, families, and staff.
- Tech-Savvy - Experience with therapy documentation systems (Casamba, PointClickCare) preferred.
- Physical Ability - Ability to lift, move, and support patients as needed.
