Geotechnical Engineer (Finance)
The Opportunity:
Tetra Tech's Phoenix, AZ office is currently seeking a Geological / Geotechnical Engineer focused on field work, data collection, analysis, and reporting. The Geotechnical/Geological engineer will also perform mid-level design and construction oversite for long-term projects. Mentoring and guidance will be provided to train new employees.

Your Role:
The position will require working with Tetra Tech's senior geotechnical engineer in Phoenix to develop a geotechnical engineering presence in the four-corners area where Tetra Tech is looking to expand their geotechnical services. This will include field work, data collection, analysis, reporting, design, construction oversite, project management assistance, and more.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Geological Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- 0 - 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Must be well versed in communication through email, phone, and in person.
- Must be comfortable developing independent client relationships.
- Strong writing and analytical skills required for daily and monthly reporting.
- Must be able to navigate field maps, work in the field, and perform engineering analysis.
- Ability to travel and perform field work (approx. 50-75% of travel required).
- A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record without restrictions.
Target salary range: $30.00 / hour to $40.00 / hour. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
