Manager, Global Mobility (Finance)

Position Summary:

The Global Mobility Manager is responsible for managing all domestic and international relocation programs, is the HR lead for all US inbound immigration and manages Cooper Standard Foundation key activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Global Assignment, US Immigration and US Domestic Relocation Programs (80%)

• Partner with HR, management and Talent Acquisition guidance and keep them apprised throughout the entirety of an employee's global assignment or US domestic relocation
• Support employees for the entirety of their global assignment or US domestic relocation
• Manage outside suppliers including immigration services, relocation management services, tax preparation, immigration services, international healthcare and COLA services.
• Lead monthly status calls with suppliers to review each employee's active case
• Maintain (5) international assignment policies, (3) US domestic relocation policies and (1) tax equalization policy and Immigration Policy. Benchmark policies every 3-4 years to ensure best practices are considered. Manage exceptions to ensure policy consistency and cost containment
• Provide annual global assignee budgets to appropriate Finance teams. Analyze global assignment population data and prepare annual global assignment program presentation for the GLT budget review
• Ensure immigration compliance with varying types of VISAs including but not limited to H1B, L, J, F, PERM process.
• Determine the need for RFPs for new suppliers for relocation and global assignment management, international tax preparation and immigration. Collaborate with Procurement to develop and execute RFP(s), select the supplier(s) with input from key HR stakeholders and execute the contract(s) and transition polices/processes to the new supplier(s).

Cooper Standard Foundation (20%)

• Administer Cooper Standard's student scholarship program
• Organize community volunteer events per direction of senior leadership (ex. SAY Detroit community park rebuilds)
• Process Foundation donation payments to various charities
• Collaborate with the CRR team to complete Cooper Standard's Corporate Responsibility Report

Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years prior management experience preferred
• 5+ years progressively responsible Human Resources experience
• Strong understanding of US immigration laws
• Prior experience in a global manufacturing organization
