Specialty Instructor (Agriculture)
Position Summary:
Instruct group classes; provide quality service to our diverse participants in a safe, enjoyable, positive and culturally appropriate environment that promotes wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies, practices and procedures.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Lead classes as directedConduct energizing, fun, safe, and educational classesProvide quality customer service to our diverse participants, contributing to member retentionKnowledge of trends to provide effective information and support to participantsFamiliar and promotes all YMCA programs and eventsKeep accurate class attendance recordsFollow YMCA policies, practices and procedures; respond to emergency situationsOther duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilitiesCertification / education / degree in areas of expertiseStrong interpersonal and problem solving skillsFluency in second language desired

Physical Demands:
Ability to conduct classes and activities relating to area of expertise, performing all physical aspects of the position; including walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
