Software Analyst II - Aurora, IL (Information Technology)
Position Summary
Perform functions to demonstrate, sell, support and develop software and related products. Act as a key intermediary between business stakeholders and technical teams to design, evaluate, and optimize software applications. With a moderate to advanced level of expertise, you will lead complex software analysis projects, ensure the alignment of software solutions with business objectives, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes for internal and external customers.

Essential Job Responsibilities
1. Respond to user calls providing technical assistance to resolve moderately complex problems.
2. Troubleshoot hardware, interface and operating systems issues. Software Analyst II will also troubleshoot network and database issues.
3. Respond to customer product inquiries, determine product applicability and refer to Sales for follow-up call.
4. Participate in calls to assist Sales in demonstrating and selling software products.
5. Document user problems for replication in-house.
6. Collaborate with software engineering to debug or resolve problems.
7. Assist with customer meetings to detail product specifications and statistical processing control needs.
8. Assist in testing new systems and fixes to ensure product specification conformance.
9. Research competitive products and report on findings.
10. Compile software specifications, user documentation and development documentation.
11. Remain current on programming, interfacing, hardware and operating system technology. Software Analyst II will also remain current on statistical process control, networking, and database architecture.
12. Provide advanced support to Stakeholders and conduct feasibility studies and recommend solutions based on technical and business needs.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
Work Environment: Office Environment/Hybrid – 2 days office and 3 days remote (optional)
Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM
Travel: Rarely (less than 5%)
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree, or Equivalent education/training and at least Four years' experience in a related field. Familiarity with metrology tools and measurement systems is a plus. Preferred knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality control tools.
